Tana Bana – ताना बाना
Tanabana, started by NEED in 2020, empowers rural women by training them in stitching and tailoring. It has grown from 4 to 55 handicrafts worker who make eco-friendly products like dohads (quilts), face masks, scarves, yoga mats, school bags and other eco-friendly fabric bags.
To meet growing demand, Tanabana plans to expand its unit at Khairgaon. This will give formal work to 25 rural women who can earn ₹200–₹400 per day. The aim is to support women in urgent need of income through skill-based jobs. This step helps us deliver large orders and stay true to our mission of women’s empowerment.
